Mario Dias, brazilian classical pianist, began playing the piano in his early teens. Essentialy self-taught, at 16 he was a student of Jorge Preiss. After one year, he began performing before audiences. He was 19 when became a pupil of Ione Urbano Sant'Anna at the Santa Catarina State University. Later, he studied for four years with the pianist Alberto Heller. He attended workshops and master classes from renowned teachers. He has appeared in recitals in Brazil: Joinville, Jaraguá do Sul, Itajaí, Florianópolis, Aracaju. In 2017, he played in Cyprus for the first time.
